Mae West: Delightfully Wicked

Fine acting by MAE WEST was mentioned in Corsair on Tuesday, 7 January 1930. This California newspaper was sending critics to as many premieres as they could access on the West Coast. In 1930, Los Angeles was trying to be the epicenter of culture, glamour, and excitement — — and so the stars of the stage and the screen were closely followed.

Unlike many blogs, which draw upon reprinted content from a newspaper or a magazine and/ or summaries, links, or photos, the mainstay of this blog is its fresh material focused on the life and career of Mae West, herself an American original.
