• • Born in Los Angeles on 23 July 1925, sultry Gloria de Haven became an actress and a singer. For many years, she was a contract star for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and then worked in television.

• • Born in Florida, pretty Frances Langford [4 April 1913 —  11 July 2005] was a singer who was featured on radio programs and also made film appearances.  In the month of July, it's nice to commemorate her, too.
