• • Overheard in Hollywood • •
• • Frank Wallace, who says he is the husband of actress Mae West, sued her business manager, James Timony, and five John Does for $105,000 damages today. Wallace charged in his complaint that soon after Timony became business manager for Miss West "he assumed the relationship of a common-law husband of plaintiff's wife and has resided with her continuously and prevents him (Wallace) from talking to her or otherwise communicating with her." Wallace also charged that Timony had called him names and had tried to prevent him from following a career as an actor, threatening to "knock his head off" and calling him a "no good bum."
• • In Her Own Words • •
• • Mae West said:  "As long as the public supports my pictures, I'll fight to provide what the people want."
• • Quote, Unquote • •
• • An article in a  newspaper discussed a show about Mae West.
• • "Sex with Mae West" • •

• • The Mae West Blog was started ten years ago in July 2004. You are reading the 2977th blog post. Unlike many blogs, which draw upon reprinted content from a newspaper or a magazine and/ or summaries, links, or photos, the mainstay of this blog is its fresh material focused on the life and career of Mae West, herself an American original.
